On January 4, the Greenfield Fire District was sent on a first-alarm assignment to help the Corinth Fire Department with a reported structure fire. In response, Greenfield sent a tower, tanker, and engine tanker. Chief officers who arrived first verified that the fire was operational. Access to the property proved challenging due to a long driveway covered with snow and ice, requiring careful apparatus placement and movement. Firefighters conducted a primary search of the structure, which was ultimately determined to be clear. Crews deployed multiple handlines to bring the fire under control and limit further extension. The Greenfield Fire District UAS (drone) team operated alongside Corinth Fire’s UAS unit to identify and monitor remaining hotspots during overhaul operations.
