After another productive year of community service, the Ballston Lake Fire Department closed its doors in 2025. The crew responded to 146 service requests throughout the year, demonstrating the consistent need on volunteer firefighters. Members devoted a lot of time to preparation and training in addition to emergency responses. Firefighters completed 189 hours of courses and 87 hours of drills to maintain skills and readiness. The department reported 35 active members and welcomed three new volunteers to its ranks. Community outreach also remained an important focus. Members provided 11 hours of fire prevention education to local schools, reinforcing safety awareness among students.
