Despite the cold on January 7, Charlton Volunteer Fire Department members began their practical training. Firefighter Bill used apparatus 18-3 for driver training, emphasizing familiarization and safe operation in winter weather. Vehicle handling, positioning, and general equipment control—all essential emergency response skills—were highlighted in the training session. During the training run, Captain Lyons oversaw and guided the progression.
