Charlton Fire Department Marks Record-Breaking 2025 and Looks Ahead to 2026

After a record-breaking year in which it responded to 304 service requests, the Charlton Fire Department concluded 2025. Eight structure fires, one vehicle fire, one brush fire, 19 auto accidents, and 13 hazardous condition responses were among the many occurrences that occurred throughout the year. In addition, crews responded to 159 EMS-related calls, 65 service calls, and 38 fire and carbon monoxide alarms. During the year, firefighters conducted 994 hours of training in addition to emergency responses. Three new EMTs joined the department, two firemen obtained exterior and interior certifications, and seven new members were welcomed. Community engagement remained a priority, with events including a blood drive, pancake breakfast, open house, and children’s Christmas party. Department members thanked volunteers and residents for their continued support and looked ahead to serving the community in 2026.
