Over the past weekend, the Shaker Road-Loudonville Fire Department hosted its annual Children's Christmas Party, which brought department families together for a festive celebration at the firehouse. The event created a laid-back and family-friendly atmosphere with games and activities designed specifically for the kids. During a special visit, Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus read "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and then gave gifts to each kid there. The Grinch made an unexpected visit at the party, which increased the day's pleasure and excitement. Department members thanked Kathy Stein and the department Auxiliary for planning the event, along with Pauline and John Hilson for preparing food for the party. The annual gathering continues to be a valued tradition that highlights the close-knit nature of the department and its families.
