NIVERVILLE, NY — December 14 — It's common to characterise the fire department as a close-knit family composed of numerous smaller family customs. At the Niverville Fire Department Inc., located at PO Box 422 (888 County Route 28), the description still holds true.
Members acknowledged the accession of another multigenerational family to the department during the most recent monthly meeting. Junior member Reagan was called in for the first time due to a recent chimney fire. She serves with her brother Connor, a first lieutenant, and her father, Paul Strobel, a former chief and current Car 2. Reagan's grandfather Al, a former chief and life member, adds to the family's dedication. Mentorship, consistency, and long-term dedication within the volunteer fire service are strengthened by generational involvement, according to department commanders.
