COPAKE, NY — December 8 — The current IFO class at the Columbia County Fire Training Centre was supported by the Copake Fire Company #1, which is situated at 390 County Route 7A. Car fire simulations were used to start the program's nine enrolled students' live fire evolutions. Hose deployment, coordinated fire attacks, scene safety, and communication during car fire events were the main topics of the training.
Throughout the changes, two Copake Fire personnel operated as a cohesive unit alongside firemen from other departments. Certified fire instructors from the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control conducted the instruction. In addition to strengthening teamwork, standardized tactics, and safe operations on the training ground, the workshop offered practical experience.
