NEW WINDSOR, NY - New Windsor FD responded to a reported structure fire at 88 Windsor Highway on January 8th. Newburgh FD responded on the first-alarm as well. Firefighters arrived to find a small amount of smoke coming from the residence and proceeded to check downstairs in the boiler room for a possible electrical fire. Crews stretched one hand line inside to the downstairs area and opened up windows to ventilate the residence. New Windsor PD and EMS, and the Fire Inspector's office were at the scene. The Fire Inspector's Office was investigating the cause/origin.
