Jefferson Township, New Jersey — December 9 — A barn fire was reported in the morning, and the Jefferson Township Fire Department responded. When Tanker 59 and Medic 59 arrived on the scene with a crew of five, including the captain who was on duty, they discovered that a barn was emitting smoke and fire.

More resources were needed to assist water supply operations because there weren't any hydrants in the area. In order to provide water to the scene and put out fires, firefighters set up tanker operations. To contain the fire and prevent it from spreading further, some 13,000 gallons of water were used. Throughout the event, mutual aid partners helped with water movement and suppression. Firefighters stayed on the site until everything were under control.
