Chatham, New Jersey — December 22 — John Baldwin received the 2025 Captain's Award from the Chatham Borough Volunteer Fire Department Association in recognition of his dedication and devotion over the year. Baldwin responded to almost all of the 346 calls the department has handled thus far, recording the highest response total in the department.
A member who consistently exhibits availability, dependability, and commitment to emergency response is given the Captain's Award. Baldwin demonstrated a great dedication to responding to calls and assisting other firefighters during emergencies in his response record. In order to meet response needs, volunteer fire departments in Morris County still rely on active member participation.
