2025 was a record year for emergency responses for the Laureldale Fire/Rescue. In December, volunteers responded to 54 service requests, increasing the department's total calls for the year to 507. The call volume, according to department officials, indicates a consistent community need for fire, rescue, and emergency services. Fire alarms, medical crises, gas investigations, auto accidents, and other service responses were among the calls made throughout the year. With call numbers continuing to rise, the department is encouraging community members to consider volunteering. Laureldale Fire/Rescue welcomes anyone interested in learning more to message the department, visit its website at www.lvfrc.com, or stop by the station on Wednesday nights between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Information is available on training, duties, and how volunteers support the community.
