Laureldale Firefighters Manage Series of Fire Calls on December 22

On December 25, the Laureldale Fire Rescue responded to a large number of emergency calls in the early and late morning. A reported chimney fire prompted the initial reaction at 1:06 a.m. Crews were sent to a potential electrical fire around 8:20 a.m. Firefighters responded to a fire alarm that was upgraded to an electrical fire at 11:00 a.m. Just minutes later, at 11:09 a.m., units were sent for smoke coming from a building, followed by a call at 11:20 a.m. for the odor of gas inside a residence. Firefighters from Mays Landing, Cologne, and Laureldale, as well as dispatchers managing many phone calls and radio traffic, coordinated operations to handle every incident.
