Cardiff Firefighters Responded to 51 Calls for Service in December

Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 handled a total of 51 dispatched calls for service throughout December 2025, reflecting a wide range of emergency and public service responses.


The monthly total included four structure fires, four EMS assists, two vehicle fires, and two extrication or rescue incidents. Firefighters also responded to 10 spills or leaks, two electrical wiring or equipment incidents, and five reports of smoke conditions. In addition, crews handled 16 unintentional alarm activations, five calls that were dispatched and later canceled en route, and one good intent call.


Department officials noted that the call volume highlights the diverse demands placed on volunteers and their continued commitment to protecting the community.
