After a year of operational expansion, training, and sustained community support, the Ambridge Fire Department concluded 2025. The department ordered a new Pierce Enforcer engine, which is expected to be delivered in 2028, with support from the borough manager, the Borough Council, and the people. The engines from 1993 and 1995 will be replaced with the new equipment. In order to better fulfill service expectations, the department also hired more full-time employees throughout the year.

Ambridge firemen completed over 1,500 hours of training in 2025 while responding to over 500 extra service requests and almost 50 active fires. In addition to handling 849 nuisance complaints and conducting over 1,250 fire safety inspections, crews also took part in over 30 community activities. After spending a large portion of the year on deployment, one full-time firefighter made a safe return home in December.

The department is one of fewer than 45 departments in the state with 100% Firefighter II certification. Rescue skills continued to improve in 2025, according to officials, with hopes to get closer to complete rescue certification in 2026.
