On December 10, Wilkins Township Volunteer Fire Company No. 1's Unit 302RE crews assisted with community events at the Wilkins Elementary School Holiday Carnival. Several fire pits were set up for the occasion, and firefighters were tasked with keeping an eye on them and making sure they ran all night safely. While ensuring fire safety across the carnival grounds, crews helped kids and families make s'mores. Members of the department expressed gratitude to the Wilkins PTA for the invitation and mentioned that the agency's function in Wilkins Township still heavily relies on community engagement initiatives.
