Wall, NJ — December 27 — A reported car accident on the Garden State Parkway northbound in the morning prompted the Glendola Fire Company and the South Wall Fire Company to react. Vehicle extrication was required, according to dispatch information. Crews arrived, secured the area, and evaluated the car. In order to obtain access and safely remove one patient, firefighters started extrication operations on the driver's side using conventional methods. After that, the patient was given to EMS staff for additional care.

Throughout the operation, scene safety and traffic control were upheld. According to fire officials, the incident showed how well firms coordinated during a highway response. The successful and safe completion of the extrication was attributed to regular training and mutual aid planning.
