Wall, NJ — December 15 — In response to a reported natural gas odour, the Wall Fire Company #1 sent Engine 1-77 and Rescue 1-88 into South Wall's main area to render automatic aid on a box alarm. The units confirmed scene safety and helped Station 3 firemen conduct a systematic assessment of the alleged odour.
Crews inspected the structure and its surroundings using routine operating procedures. There were no reported injuries, and the matter was managed without escalation. The response brought Wall Fire Company No. 1's hectic 48-hour stint to a close. Crews responded to over a dozen service requests during that time, many of which had to do with the township's recent storm conditions. Coordinated staffing and automatic aid, according to department officials, help sustain coverage during times of elevated activity.
