At approximately 1940 hours on January 2, 2026, the Camden County Fire Alarm Room dispatched a box for the Lindenwold Fire Department and automatic aid companies for the report of storage units on fire at Prime Storage located at 901 Egg Harbor Road. First arriving units reported multiple storage units on fire and the working fire box signal was transmitted. Crews battled the fire in icy and sub freezing temperatures with multiple hand lines facing rapid fire spread and having to force entry into many storage units. The crews were able to get ahead of the fire and stopped it from spreading down the entire row. The fire was placed under control in about forty minutes.
