Fair Haven, NJ — December 13 — For their efforts after a fire in Red Bank earlier this year, the Fair Haven Fire Department honoured local first responders and 2nd Assistant Chief Matt DePonti. According to department officials, the situation necessitated close cooperation and support between several agencies working under same leadership.

While Fair Haven firefighters collaborated with the Red Bank Fire Department and other mutual-aid partners, Assistant Chief DePonti helped with operational management. Until the situation was under control, crews concentrated on fire suppression, exposure protection, and scene safety. Responders did not sustain any significant injuries. The reaction, according to department leadership, demonstrated the value of consistent training, effective communication, and solid mutual aid ties among Monmouth County emergency services.
