Keasbey, New Jersey — January 1 — As the new year got underway, the Keasbey Fire Department (420 Smith Street) named its officers for 2026. Alex Salgado was named Assistant Chief, and John Manna was named Chief. Luis Montalvo was chosen to be the lieutenant, while Rick Polidura will be the captain.

For Protection Fire Company No. 1 and its voluntary members, the officers will be in charge of operations, training, and reaction preparedness. The Keasbey region of Woodbridge Township and the neighboring mutual-aid areas continue to receive fire suppression, rescue assistance, and emergency response services from the department. As activities continue into 2026, department leadership also wished residents, partners, and other emergency services agencies a safe and healthy New Year.
