Laurence Harbor, NJ — December 30 — Located at 20 Laurence Parkway, the Laurence Harbour Fire Department upholds a rich legacy of service that has been handed down through the years. Second-, third-, and fourth-generation firefighters who decided to follow family members into the fire service have lived in the department. This long-standing engagement shows a strong sense of community and a dedication to public safety. In order to maintain membership and preserve experience, volunteer fire departments around New Jersey frequently rely on family customs, which are reinforced by training requirements from the New Jersey Division of Fire Safety. At Laurence Harbour, present activities are strengthened by shared knowledge, respect for the past, and mentoring. The history of the department demonstrates how dedication runs in families.
