Laurence Harbor, NJ — December 4 — In order to improve water delivery operations for major incidents, the Laurence Harbor Fire Department, located at 20 Laurence Parkway, participated in Tanker Taskforce training. Droughting from static water sources, tanker shuttle coordination, and sustaining a constant water flow during prolonged fireground activities were the key topics of the practice. Members engaged in practical evolutions that mirrored situations frequently found in places without hydrant coverage. Tanker Taskforce training is in line with water supply policies that are encouraged throughout New Jersey fire districts and promotes mutual-aid operations. Frequent training of this kind ensures that crews can support incident command during complex reactions, move water effectively, and communicate coherently. Maintaining operational preparedness for the Laurence Harbor neighborhood and its environs depends on ongoing participation in regional taskforce exercises.
