The Campville Fire Department provided mutual aid to the Newark Valley Fire Department at a second alarm structure fire last December. Campville responded with Ladder 301, which was deployed as an elevated master stream to help extinguish heavy fire conditions throughout the structure. The aerial operations played a key role in controlling the blaze. The fire was declared under control approximately two hours after the initial dispatch, though crews remained on scene to assist with overhaul and extinguishing remaining hot spots before clearing the incident.
