— October 18 — Firefighters from Botsford, Hawleyville, and Newtown Hook & Ladder joined forces at the New Haven Regional Fire School for a shared live-burn drill.
The program connected three Connecticut departments for practical fireground drills in a controlled setting.
Firefighters get hands-on practice in real fire conditions, using suppression skills and reviewing procedures through live-burn training. The exercises also give members the chance to train with firefighters from nearby departments.
