— October 9, 2026 — Westchester County Director of Fire Services and County Fire Coordinator Chief Mark Iannucci led Incident Command and Operational Tactics training at the Millwood Firehouse for 46 members from the fire coverage areas of Battalions 11 and 12.

The training is part of an ongoing curriculum developed to improve personnel accountability at major incidents and educate firefighters on tactical operations. Accountability is a key responsibility for incident commanders, particularly when mutual aid brings personnel from several departments to one scene.

The course brought members from multiple agencies together to review the roles and responsibilities within the Incident Command System (ICS). Understanding how command functions and how personnel are tracked helps departments coordinate operations and support responder safety during complex incidents.
