Members of local fire, police and emergency medical services agencies joined together for an annual trunk-or-treat event hosted by the Town of Newburgh Emergency Medical Services.
The event, held in the Town of Newburgh, N.Y., brought together personnel from the Town of Newburgh Police Department, New York State Police, Winona Lake Engine Company, Orange Lake Fire District and Good-Will Fire Department. Participating agencies displayed emergency vehicles and joined in the Halloween activities.
The event provided an opportunity for local emergency responders to interact with residents and families in a community setting outside of their regular emergency response duties. Decorated vehicles and Halloween displays were among the attractions, with participating personnel helping support the festivities.
The annual gathering highlighted the involvement of area emergency service organizations in community outreach and offered residents an opportunity to meet personnel from several agencies serving the Town of Newburgh and surrounding communities.
