Elmwood Park.

October 20th was a busy night for Elmwood Park At 18:37 the department was dispatched to a fully involved car fire on route 46. Engine 2 was first due and extinguished the vehicle fire. At 18:43 the 911 dispatch center began to receive multiple calls for a house fire at 37 Rosevelt ave. Ass't Chief Mike Jones arrived and was met with heavy fire conditions on the A side of a private dwelling working its way up to the attic. The fire was knocked in a couple of minutes by engine 1,3 and truck 4. A second alarm was assigned to assist on the scene and for firehouse coverage. The out of town units came from Garfield, Clifton, Fair lawn, Saddle Brook, Lodi and Rochelle Park
