South Burlington Promotes Dan Mullin to Senior Firefighter

The South Burlington Fire Department in Vermont announced the promotion of Firefighter/AEMT Dan Mullin to the rank of Senior Firefighter on September 16, 2026, following his successful completion of the department's Senior Firefighter Development Program and promotional process.

The program prepares firefighters for additional leadership responsibilities through training in fireground strategy and tactics, building construction, fire behavior, crew management, firefighter wellness and fire protection systems. The training focuses on developing the knowledge and skills needed to support company officers and maintain effective emergency operations.
