Troy Firefighters Completed Thermal Imaging Training

Jaffrey, NH — September 5 — Members of the Troy Fire/Rescue and Forest Fire Department took part in a thermal imaging training session on September 5 at the Jaffrey Fire Department. The training was organized by the Monadnock Fire Chiefs and supported by Old Homestead Farm. Insight Fire Training conducted the session, allowing firefighters to practice using thermal imaging cameras during fire operations.

Thermal imaging cameras can reveal details that are not visible under normal conditions.

Proper training helps firefighters understand heat patterns, locate possible fire sources, identify hazards, and use thermal data effectively in assessing a fire scene and making decisions. Insight Training's courses focus on tactical use of thermal imaging, fire behavior, and applying thermal data during emergency situations.

The training also provided an opportunity for firefighters from different departments to collaborate and exchange operational knowledge.
