Bradford Keay Was Promoted to Lieutenant and Training Officer

Keene, NH — September 7 — Professional Firefighters of Keene IAFF Local 3265 honored Firefighter/Paramedic Bradford Keay after he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and appointed as a training officer on September 7.

Keay has contributed over 15 years of experience in the fire service to his new role.

Throughout his career, he has remained involved with Local 3265 and has consistently focused on personal growth, firefighter training, and supporting his fellow department members.

He was also a co-founder of Project Mayday, a program that examines firefighter Mayday incidents to improve understanding of how these emergencies are handled and how they can be prevented.

The initiative gathers data from Mayday events to enhance fire service safety and training initiatives.

Training remains a key component of operations for the Keene Fire Department.

Professional Firefighters of New Hampshire recognized Keene’s Local 3265 as one of its affiliated locals and highlighted training leadership as a core part of the organization's efforts.

Recent training activities at the Keene Fire Department included specialized rope rescue and confined-space training, reflecting the range of technical skills that department members maintain through ongoing hands-on education.

As the training officer, Keay was expected to use his field experience to support the department’s continuing education programs and assist in the development of both current and future firefighters.
