Wolfeboro Firefighters Completed Propane Emergencies Training

Wolfeboro, NH — September 19 — Members of the Wolfeboro Fire-Rescue Department participated in a full-day training session on propane emergencies, alongside firefighters from the Center Ossipee Fire Rescue, Middleton NH Fire & Rescue, and Sandwich Fire Department.

The training was led by Lieutenant Bill Wrigley from the West Ossipee Fire Department, with propane supplies provided by D.F.

Richard Energy. During the session, firefighters reviewed the latest propane safety equipment, response practices, and procedures for dealing with emergencies related to propane systems.

The training also featured live-fire drills, allowing participants to apply what they learned in realistic, hands-on scenarios.

Firefighters had the chance to work with equipment and practice emergency response techniques in a controlled environment.

Propane emergency training is intended to help firefighters understand the characteristics and risks of propane, as well as how to respond safely to incidents involving tanks, equipment, leaks, and fires.

The Propane Education & Research Council offers a specialized emergency response training program that covers propane emergencies at fixed locations and during transportation.

D.F. Richard Energy has also supported propane safety training for first responders, including hands-on sessions on emergency preparedness, equipment use, and leak response. The company serves communities in Wolfeboro and other parts of New Hampshire.
