Charlton Fire Starts Friday With High Fives

Charlton, Mass. — September 18 — On Friday morning, Charlton firefighters greeted students at Charlton Elementary School as the department revived its High Five Friday community outreach initiative to kick off the new school year. 

As students arrived at school, firefighters welcomed them with high fives and smiles. The event also signaled the end of orientation for the department’s four newest firefighters Michael Dyson, Ashley Potenti, Cameron Howe, and Alex Lanpher who had joined the department earlier that week. 

The department stated that the event provided new firefighters with the chance to engage in one of Charlton Fire’s community outreach programs and connect with some of the children and families they will be serving. Students greeted the firefighters with great enthusiasm at the morning event.
