Captain Micah Ruel Celebrated 20 Years of Service

Rochester, NH — September 2 — The Rochester NH Fire Department honored Captain Micah Ruel for completing 20 years of service with the department. Ruel served as a captain on D Shift and held the rank of Captain/EMT, as noted in the department’s current staff listing.

Over the course of his two decades with the Rochester Fire Department, Ruel contributed to the City of Rochester and worked closely with firefighters and emergency personnel during fire, rescue, and medical operations.

The department was based at Central Station on 37 Wakefield Street and provided fire, rescue, and public assistance services throughout Rochester, East Rochester, and Gonic.

Rochester Fire Department officials have consistently stressed the importance of training in department operations.

The department’s annual report mentioned that members received training in firefighting, emergency medicine, hazardous materials, and technical rescue.Regular training programs were used to ensure proficiency and enhance safety for both firefighters and the public.

Ruel’s 20-year milestone highlighted two decades of service within this training-focused organization.

His career also involved leadership roles as a company officer on D Shift.
