Goffstown Firefighters Honored Those Lost on 9/11

Goffstown, NH — September 11 — The Goffstown Fire Department marked the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks by honoring the civilians and emergency responders who lost their lives that day.

As part of the remembrance, the department presented Old Glory from Tower 1 over Mast Road. The display served as a local tribute to the firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel and other emergency workers who responded to the World Trade Center.

The September 11 attacks resulted in the deaths of 343 FDNY firefighters. The 9/11 Memorial & Museum documented that thousands of firefighters, police officers, emergency medical personnel and other responders were deployed to the World Trade Center as part of the largest rescue operation in New York City history.

The department's 9/11 observance connected the local fire service with the broader emergency services community and recognized the continued importance of service, remembrance and support for those who answered the call on September 11, 2001.

The anniversary provided an opportunity for Goffstown firefighters and residents to remember those who were lost and recognize the lasting impact of the response and recovery efforts.
