Claymont Fire Company (New Castle County, Delaware) Tower 13. Tower 13 is this 2021 Pierce Arrow XT Heavy Duty 100’ Ascendant Mid-Mount Tower Ladder. It is equipped with a Cummins X15 605 HP Motor, Allison 5th Gen Model EVS 4500p Transmission, Tac-4 Front Suspension, Jacobs Engine Brake, a 1000lbs Tip Load, and 500 Pounds Wet tip load. Its ground ladder complement includes 2 14’, a 16’, a 20’, a 28’, a 28’, 2 35’, and a 10' Attic with Ladder Wraps by: Firehouse Pride. Some equipment carried includes New York Hooks (4 6’, 3 8’, and 1 10’), a Hurst 32” spreader, Hurst cutter, Hurst ram (all battery), Paratech struts, a full Milwaukee battery tool complement, and multiple various types of extinguishers. All mounting was done by First Due Fabrication and Fire & Safety Services, Ltd.
