Matthew Livingston and John Tobon Join Westford Fire Department

On September 18, 2026, the Westford Fire Department officially welcomed Matthew Livingston and John Tobon as its newest career Firefighter/EMTs, marking the start of their service with the department in Westford, Massachusetts. 

According to the department, both Livingston and Tobon are newcomers to the fire service but have prior emergency medical experience from their roles as EMTs with Pridestar/ Trinity EMS. During their first week, they attend orientation with members from all four shifts, get acquainted with Westford and department equipment, complete mandatory training, and review department policies and EMS protocols.

Following orientation, the two new members will report to their assigned shifts, where they will further develop under the supervision of preceptors and other department staff. They will also fulfill their department’s training requirements as they prepare to enroll in the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy’s Career Recruit Firefighter Training Program.
