Kent Volunteer Fire Department members spent the evening engaging in hands-on training with various vehicle-extrication tools, furthering the department’s efforts to ensure firefighters remain ready for emergencies involving trapped individuals.
The September 4 training emphasized getting acquainted with the tools employed in vehicle extrication and hands-on practice of their use. Routine hands-on training helps firefighters stay familiar with equipment and procedures prior to responding to a real crash.
