Ferrisburgh Firefighters Carry Forward the Legacy of 9/11

On the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks, firefighters in Ferrisburgh honored the firefighters and other emergency responders who gave their lives.

On Friday, the Ferrisburgh Volunteer Fire Department posted a message highlighting the value of honoring those who preceded today’s firefighters and carrying forward their legacy by staying committed to training and readiness for future emergencies.

The department’s message also echoed a recurring theme throughout the fire service: paying tribute to fallen members while preserving and passing on the lessons and traditions to future generations.
