Boston Firefighters Bring Fire Safety to Hyde Park Community BBQ

Boston, Mass. — August 20 — Boston firefighters teamed up with residents at Georgetowne Homes in Hyde Park for a community barbecue that merged local events with fire-safety instruction.
The Boston Fire Department’s Fire Prevention Education Unit and Engine 55 participated in the event, engaging with residents, addressing their questions, and providing information on home fire safety. The event also gathered Boston Police, Age Strong, Goodwill, and other local organizations and vendors.
Georgetowne Homes is situated at 400A Georgetowne Drive in Hyde Park, Boston’s southernmost neighborhood. The residential community features one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, along with a community center and additional amenities for residents.
