East Bridgewater Firefighters Receive New Radios Through Regional Grant

East Bridgewater, Mass. — August 27 — A regional public-safety communications partnership is aiding in the enhancement of radio communications for firefighters in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, who have been equipped with new multi-band portable radios thanks to regional 911 grant funding. 


The new radios are built to provide firefighters with a more dependable method of communicating with other emergency personnel and mutual-aid agencies using different radio systems. The equipment is designed to facilitate coordinated operations during incidents involving multiple departments or agencies. 


On August 27, the East Bridgewater Fire Department revealed the equipment upgrade and expressed gratitude to the regional 911 program for securing the funding. The department stated that dependable communication is crucial for firefighter safety and effective emergency coordination.
