Tunnel 2 Towers Fund Raiser

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

September 5th a Cigar Lounge in New Port Richey called Patriot Stogies held its 3rd T2T “tunnels to towers” fund raiser. Opened in May of 2022 by Nathan Hill a 20 year US Military Helicopter pilot that served in six deployments that retired in 2021 said, his passion on helping others has come full circle from his career.

T2T is a big favorite of his as members of the military, first responders and Law Enforcement and some City Councilors came together to enjoy friendship, cigars and stories and be part of raising money. On hand from the T2T speakers of the evening was Representative Chris Colon who talked about the “Let’s do good Village” here in Land O Lakes Fl.

He told the crowd of around 75 that 65 acres were donated to the organization and homes are being built and when completed 96 homes will occupy those in need. Approximately $2,500.00 was raised that evening.  Outside from the event 2 fire apparatus showed up. One of the supporters with their Engine was Krewe De Forti, who volunteer for minimizing operational overhead and maximizing charitable output. They are comprised of local, former and active duty first responders from all of the area. They also take part of supporting future First Responders by partnering up with local high schools to provide scholarships for advancement into the profession. Also retired military brought jeeps and more for all to see.

Well done by all.
