The Caldwell Volunteer Fire Department took a moment 25 years after the September 11, 2001 attacks to honor the firefighters who gave their life and the lives lost.
On Friday, the department urged anybody walking by the firehouse to pause and remember the innocent individuals who perished that day.
The firefighters in Caldwell also commemorated the first responders who responded to the call, especially the firefighters who died while serving others.
2,977 individuals were murdered in the attacks, including 343 FDNY firemen, according to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.
The 25th anniversary is another chance for Caldwell firefighters to remember and pay tribute to their brothers in the fire department.
