25 Years Later, Berlin Fire Remembers Those Lost

The Berlin Fire Company carried on its custom of flying the American flag above the White Horse Pike in commemoration of the September 11, 2001 assaults twenty-five years later.

Firefighters honored the innocent souls lost, the first responders who responded to the call, and everyone whose lives were impacted by the attacks as the flag flew above the neighborhood on Friday morning.

The 343 FDNY firemen who lost their lives while responding to the World Trade Center were specifically commemorated by the department.

The Boro of Berlin is served by Berlin Fire Company No. 1, a volunteer fire department. According to state records, the company's address is 59 South White Horse Pike.The department's annual remembrance serves as a quiet reminder of the courage and sacrifice shown on September 11 and the importance of keeping the memories of those lost alive.
