Vernon Crews Completed Apparatus and Hose Line Training

VERNON, VT — August 18 — The Vernon Fire Department carried out a training exercise on Stebbins Road, during which firefighters utilized their equipment, personnel, and a hose line along the roadside.The training involved motorists being advised to exercise caution as emergency crews worked in the road area.
This exercise allowed firefighters to practice setting up equipment, deploying hose lines, and working together in a situation resembling a real rural emergency.
The Vernon Fire Department has historically provided fire and emergency services to the town through volunteer firefighters and has been actively involved in emergency response for a long time.The department also had established mutual aid agreements with neighboring communities.
