Members of the Windham Center Fire Department responded to 104 service requests in August, marking yet another hectic month of duty.
In addition to responding to emergencies, department members supported Paulie's Push, a 9/11 commemoration initiative that has united the fire service community along its path, and participated in community events.
According to the agency, the month served as a reminder that volunteer firemen support their communities by participating in extracurricular activities and responding to emergencies.
Additionally, Windham Center Fire expressed gratitude to all of the members that took calls, assisted with activities, and offered their time during the month. The Windham Center Fire Department is still listed by the town of Windham as a meeting place and community facility.
