Woodstock Fire/EMS Remembered the Emergency Responders Lost on 9/11

WOODSTOCK, VT — September 11 — Woodstock Fire/EMS, located at 454 Woodstock Road, Woodstock, VT, United States, 05091, joined emergency service agencies nationwide in remembering the firefighters, emergency medical services providers, law enforcement officers, and civilians who were lost on September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years prior, emergency responders traveled to the World Trade Center in New York City to assist in the rescue efforts.

The Fire Department of the City of New York lost 343 members, including 341 firefighters and two emergency medical services workers.Other police and emergency personnel also lost their lives that day.

For firefighters and emergency medical services personnel, the anniversary served as a reminder of the critical importance of training, teamwork, communication, and service.

Woodstock Fire/EMS offers fire protection, rescue, and emergency medical services to the town of Woodstock and surrounding areas, relying on both volunteer members and full-time professionals.

The September 11 observance continues to honor those who served on that day and those who have continued the important work in the years that followed.
