Dual-Discipline Drills: Lebanon Borough Crews Take to Round Valley for Water Rescue and Driver Training

Lebanon Boro, NJ - Firefighters made the most of clear late-summer conditions to sharpen their technical skills on land and water.

On the evening of August 24, members of the Lebanon Borough Fire Company deployed across Hunterdon County for a targeted multi-company training session. One group headed to Round Valley Reservoir to conduct practical water rescue evolutions, focusing on rapid deployment, surface search techniques, and specialized boat and flotation operations.

Simultaneously, additional personnel carried out comprehensive apparatus driver training. Members practiced navigating tight clearances, vehicle handling, and response positioning to maintain sharp behind-the-wheel readiness during emergency calls.

The dual-track drill provided hands-on experience across two critical response disciplines, reinforcing the company's overall operational capabilities and public safety readiness.
