East Putnam Firefighters Complete Annual Pharmacology Training

PUTNAM, CT — August 23, 2026 — This week, members of the East Putnam Fire agency finished their yearly pharmacology training, which covered the drugs the agency carries and the factors to be taken into account when using them during emergency medical calls.


Will Jeffs helped administer the training, and the department expressed gratitude to him for his support with the annual session. According to the department, the training gave participants a chance to go over prescription uses, dosage, indications, and any side effects.


Maintaining EMS readiness includes regular pharmacology training. Reviewing prescription drugs and how to utilize them appropriately keeps healthcare professionals up to date on the tools and therapies at their disposal while providing patient care.
