On August 26th, North Hudson firefighters congratulated First Battalion Chief Al Salveson, center, on his retirement after
32-years of service with the five communities that are part of the regional department. The chief started his career with the former North Bergen Fire Department and retired out of the 16th Street firehouse in Union City.
