LITTLE COMPTON, RI — August 10, 2026 — Members of the Little Compton Fire Department participated in the monthly Circle of Friends gathering at the Little Compton Community Center, giving attendees an opportunity to meet firefighters, see fire apparatus and learn more about the department.

According to the department, firefighters attended the gathering on Saturday and showcased the equipment and fire trucks used during their work. Members also spent time interacting with guests and answering questions about the fire service.

Circle of Friends is a monthly social program organized by the Little Compton Community Center for people living with disabilities. The program brings participants together with family, friends and community volunteers for an activity and meal.

The Community Center lists Circle of Friends as a recurring program that has been part of its programming since 1999. Gatherings are held at the Community Center, which is fully accessible, including ramps and an elevator.

The August Circle of Friends gathering was scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2026, according to the Community Center's published schedule.
